2009 Bush Fire Relief

BUSHFIRE SUPPORT UPDATE

Our sympathy goes out to the many people who have been affected by the Victorian bushfires.

I know that we all want to do what we can to assist - as we do here at the Just Group. I feel it is important to update you on the activities that the Just Group has been supporting and things we intend to do over the coming weeks.

This includes:

• $60,000 worth of clothing from all brands donated to the Salvation Army and Relief Centres
• $40,000 worth of Smiggle stationery packs donated to local schools that have been affected
• $30,000 cash donation to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal Fund
• $5,000 cash donation to the RSPCA Bushfire Relief Fund
• $5,000 Just Jeans & Jay Jays gift cards distributed to stores located near the affected communities
• $2,500 Just Jeans gift cards donated to the Salvation Army
• Gift cards sent to affected families within the Just Group community
• Payroll deduction set up for staff to donate to the Bushfire Relief Fund.

We are encouraging all our employees to do what they can and are providing as much support as possible. For example:

• A group of head office staff have volunteered their time to sort donations with the Salvation Army at their Traralgon operation
• We are co-ordinating a Head Office collection of consumables to be sent to Relief Centres
• We supported the idea of our Portmans Bendigo team sending their used coat hangers to the affected communities
• We sponsored a barbeque at Head Office with proceeds to the Bushfire Appeal Fund.

We are also exploring the idea of designing an environmental bag to be sold in-store, with proceeds to go to the Bushfire Appeal Fund – as we did with the Tsunami appeal.

We extend our thoughts and compassion to all those affected and to those in the community who are working to respond to this tragedy.
